CREATION SCIENCE, PART 1

What is science?
Merriam-Webster defines it this way:
  1. knowledge or a system of knowledge covering general truths or the operation of general laws especially as obtained and tested through scientific method
  2. such knowledge or such a system of knowledge concerned with the physical world and its phenomena
Many scientists and educators place artificial boundaries around science, implying (and often proclaiming directly that) anyone who holds to a view other than evolutionary naturalism cannot be a “real” scientist.
“Even if all of the data point to an intelligent designer, such a hypothesis is excluded from science because it is not naturalistic. Of course the scientist, as an individual, is free to embrace a reality that transcends naturalism.” (Todd, S. A view from Kansas on that evolution debate. Nature. 401:423. September 30, 1999.)
“Saying, whether in 4004 BC or 13 billion years ago, that "God made it" is not falsifiable and therefore not science. I know that, were I in a position to offer Guillermo Gonzalez tenure, I would deny it for the precise reason that his, yes, religious views about purpose in the universe explicitly mean he is a c*** [edited for objectionable language] scientist, regardless of his ability to generate valid data….Furthermore, I hope I would have the conviction to say the same if he hadn't failed in the other academic criteria. As a vocal supporter of the demonstrably unscientific guff that is intelligent design, Gonzalez displays ignorance of the scientific process, and appears to wilfully [sic] defy it. And for that reason, he neither deserves the use of the facilities of a university to conduct scientific research, nor the privilege of teaching the next generation of scientists.” (Rutherford, A., The Guardian, Wrong by Design, July 11, 2007.)
Evolutionism leads down a dangerous path. For the Christian, scientist or layman, the battle for truth must be fought. Is it science or the Bible? Or can men and women search for truth and believe in the Creator God?
When scientists try to eliminate God from His creation, using evolutionism as their explanation for the origin and history of the world, they are not building up science, but “science falsely so called” (I Timothy 6:20). True science always supports the Scriptures. (Henry Morris)
True Biblical worship has never meshed with the particle-to-people philosophy (macroevolution). Indeed, not long ago a creation scientist (and Nobel prize winner) stated, “Science is the glimpse of God’s purpose in nature. The very existence of the amazing world of the atom and radiation points to a purposeful creation, to the idea that there is a God and an intelligent purpose back of everything” (A. H. Compton [d. 1962]). (Frank Sherwin)
Over the next few months, we will list several points of “freedom” that Creation Science has to offer to anyone who desires to know more about origins.
The first freedom is this:
  1. Freedom to follow the evidence wherever it leads, which allows the researcher to never stop questioning and discovering.
