KJV WORD OF THE DAY

Disfigure

DISFIGUREverb transitive [dis and figure.]
1. To change to a worse form; to mar external figure; to impair shape or form and render it less perfect and beautiful; as, the loss of a limb disfigures the body.
2. To mar; to impair; to injure beauty, symmetry or excellence.
First occurrence in the Bible(KJV): Matthew 6:16 Moreover when ye fast, be not, as the hypocrites, of a sad countenance: for they disfigure their faces, that they may appear unto men to fast. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
