RA'IMENT, noun [for arrayment. See Array and Ray.]
1. Clothing in general; vestments; vesture; garments.
Genesis 24:53 And the servant brought forth jewels of silver, and jewels of gold, and raiment, and gave them to Rebekah: he gave also to her brother and to her mother precious things.
Deuteronomy 8:4 Thy raiment waxed not old upon thee, neither did thy foot swell, these forty years.
Living, both food and raiment she supplies.
2. A single garment.
[In this sense it is rarely used, and indeed is improper.]
